Shannon Manning graduated Dean’s List from the University of Chicago, studied at the School of the Art Institute, the University of Illinois at Chicago, and two years of improv with Del Close. She writes and directs for screens and stage, including several scripts, pilots, and a play with her sisters called Dead Dads. She published and edited  Pipe Up! Magazine, booked and ran weekly series Drinkytown, cofounded Magnet Theater and performed on Late Night with Conan O’Brien as a piece of cheese.  For three years, she was the comedy and music talent buyer for Union Hall, Brooklyn –sister venue to the Bell House– for which The New York Times credited her with “savvy and adventurous programming.” She is now focused on running woman-owned video and web production company Sparkle Television and podcast network Good Orbit.
